In order to meet increasing demands for electricity, steam, and hot water, a New York City university sought out Veolia's energy consulting division, SourceOne.

As a result of Hurricane Sandy, a majority of Manhattan was without power, but the university's CHP system allowed most of its power systems to stay operational.
