Simple Cycle Power Design for Vineland, NJ Reduces Electricity Costs

Simple Cycle Power Plant (SCPP) design, engineering and permitting

To provide efficient and cost-effective power to the residents of Vineland, the Vineland Municipal Electric Utility (VMEU) sought help in managing significant infrastructure investments for the utility, including two new 64 MW peaking generation plants and SCADA systems for grid management.

The VMEU was struggling to modernize its systems, and also to provide energy and capacity to meet the constraints of the Pennsylvania-Jersey-Maryland system.

The traditional design-bid-build model was inadequate, and city managers needed practical help in finding a solution to construct and bring new generating assets online.
