## Real-time meter data management solutions

A major port authority in the Northeast US that has approximately 1,700 energy and water meters were being manually read on a monthly basis through an existing contract. The port authority and its implementation partner were looking for a Meter Data Service Provider (MDSP) that could upgrade its meter reading and invoicing operations to an automated, real-time, remote metering system. This advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) would enable the port authority to accurately and reliably bill tenants for their utility usage and ensure recovery of related costs.

Veolia's implemented its Hubgrade solution for the port authority, including:

- Energy meter and cost data, invoice processing, tenant billing, and reporting for approximately 1,000 utility accounts across 200 assets
- Integrated five years of historical invoices and installed and managed 2,000 meters
- Validated the port authority's monthly utility invoicing
- Commissioned all 1,700 meters and programming all data collection devices and equipment
