Utility Management at Dupont Spruance

The Dupont™ Spruance plant in Richmond, VA is its largest manufacturing facility in North America, producing industrial and commercial materials such as Kevlar®, Nomex®, and Zytel®.

Dupont solicited Veolia to assume management of onsite utilities, including chilled water, compressed air, raw water, process water, wastewater, steam, and brine.

Under a multi-year agreement, Veolia is adding enhanced and new solutions to the plant, including:

• O&M of the plant's cogeneration facility that supplies the Spruance powerhouse

• Utility efficiency upgrades
• Utility meter replacements and repair to monitor onsite utilities
  
• Waste collection services for 20 different locations around the plant
